There are many similar products, what is special about your product?
A: While additives normally treat the oil, Rewitec creates a hard and permanent metal-silicate coating which does not have to be repeated with every oil change. This applies only to areas in the machine subject to friction. Rewitec actually restores worn surfaces in the processHow does the coating process work?
A: The active part of the product is a combination of special silicates and catalysers. The initiated friction energy and the grinding of the particles cause a bonding on the surface. Generally, just simple chemical-physics processes are put to work. The displacement of my engine is 5.7L. The Rewitec coating concentrate does not come in that size. Which product should I take? Which combination is the right one?
A: In that case, please use two applications of M3. Add 50% to the motor oil in 2 stages according to the application instructions. How many packages are needed for the treatment of gears?
A: Only one. The treatment comes in one bottle which can be used for a single application. When is the coating process completed?
A: The friction energy is used to bond a layer of metal silicate within a number of operating hours. Once the layer has been applied there is no longer enough friction energy to continue the surfacing treatment process. This way the reaction is completed automatically.Does that mean that no damage can be caused by an over dosage?
A: correct! The product is based on the use of solids. Can that cause a clogged oil filter and oil conduits?
A: The quantity of the coating material is small and can not clog filters or oil conduits. However, carbon residues will be removed by Rewitec. Please start with new oil and a new filter and check the oil after the first treatment. If necessary change the oil before the second application. What is the size of the particles in your product?
A: The size varies between 1 and about 20 microns. Is the product compatible with hydraulic valves? These parts are very sensitive - could that lead to problems?
A: On the contrary! The sensitive surfaces of the valves will be protected with Rewitec. This procedure will resurface the worn areas up to their original values and protect them from future wear. Valves will become quieter and run easier. Is the concentrate compatible with available mineral and synthetic oil?
A: Yes.Does the concentrate change the oil viscosity?
A: No! We do not change the properties of the oil but use it as a carrier.Producers of modern motor oils use special additives. Can these additives be compromised by applying the treatment
A: The concentrate does not change the structure or composition of the oil in any way.I was getting ready to change the oil in my car. Does it make sense to do the treatment now, or should I wait until after the oil is changed?
A: We suggest you start the treatment with the new oil and a clean filter. The manufacturers apply honing grooves to the cylinder liners. Will those be filled by the product? If so, what are the consequences?
A: Grooves are intended to provide the surfaces with a protective oil film. The concentrate does not fill the larger grooves. Furthermore, the metal silicate has major oil retaining properties which perform better than grooves. My motor uses about 1 L oil to 500 km and is close to its useful life. Can your product help or is a new engine my only solution?
A : If the piston rings are not defective mechanically, then a treatment will help. However, a larger treatment may be necessary to reduce the oil consumption. Can the concentrate be used with a "wet bath" (in oil) clutch in a motor bike?
A: The clutch cannot slip since the metal/silicate surface is formed on metal surfaces only. Only metal parts in engines and transmissions become coated, not the clutch. The gears in the differential are noisy. Will applying Rewitec reduce the noise?
A: The success rate in treating gears is very good unless there is significant damage.I am using a common oil additive containing Teflon. Does that prevent me from using Rewitec technology?
A: We recommend that the oil be changed to a standard formula. This will enhance the Rewitec product to adhere to uneven and worn surfaces more effectively. After an oil change, our concentrate can be used without problem.
