Test with Sew Eurodrive Gearmotors
Four SEW Eurodrive gearmotors with bronze wheels were tested to evaluate the emergency run properties of a gear treated with Rewitec Technology. Two gears were used as a control group. While the other two were treated with Rewitec Nanocoating. The energy consumption and temperature variation was monitored in a dry run without lubrication under nominal load.
Both treated and untreated gears sets were dismantled and washed of oil with a cleaner. For the test, the gearmotors were run under a nominal load. The temperature, the amperage and the time was recorded until the gears failed. A final evaluation was performed when the gears were dismantled.
Test results:
- Gears 1 and 2 were treated with Rewitec Technology
- The current was measured in one motor phase of the engines
- The temperature was measured on the end wall of the gearbox
