Testing and evaluations on Rewitec Technology
Tests at Fraunhofer Institut TEG, Stuttgart
Two cars were tested by the Fraunhofer Institut TEG to evaluate effects of Rewitec Technology. The cars were treated with Rewitec Nanocoating Technology. Motor tests and surface analysis of the cylinder surfaces were taken before and after the test runs to determine the change.

Before treatment there were traces of wear and was corrosion on the surface. After the Rewitec Nanocoating treatment a smooth, clean surface resulted.
Through optical measurement of the cylinder surface an extreme reduction in worn and marked areas was found.
Using a white light interferometer, it was calculated that the surface increased 4 to 5μm through a metal-ceramic coating. The final roughness was reduced from an average surface roughness (Ra) of 6.6μ to a Ra of 1.2 μ (Rz=0.83 down to Rz=0.12)
Additionally, the emergency features of the motor were tested in an operation without oil. The motor idled for 1 hour quietly with a constant temperature and no signs of mechanical problems.
